Education Criteria
Junior Assistant / Intermediate-Level Posts: Intermediate (Class 12) or the prescribed qualification for that particular post. It would be wrong to have a uniform qualification of graduation for all Junior Assistant/Intermediate-level posts. Separate recruitment has been done by UKSSSC for Junior Assistant, Data Entry Operator and other Intermediate-level posts.
Graduate-Level Posts: A bachelor's degree or the prescribed graduation qualification for that particular post. The Graduate Level test includes a number of posts, so there could be different subjects/qualification requirements.
Assistant Accountant / Accounts Posts: The prescribed qualification of Commerce/Accountancy for this cadre varies from post to post and from department to department. Instead of using one qualification for all Assistant Accountant posts, candidates should go by the qualification mentioned in the accounts cadre notification issued. UKSSSC conducts a separate recruitment process and verification for these posts.
Livestock Extension Officer: Candidates must hold the qualifications and training as prescribed in the official Livestock Extension Officer notification. Separate advertisement for this post was issued by UKSSSC on 8 May 2026.
Vehicle Driver: The candidates should have the requisite educational qualification, driving licence and other criteria as stated in the notification for the Driver/Enforcement Driver recruitment. Separate Driver recruitment notification was issued by UKSSSC on 10 April 2026.
ITI/Diploma/Technical Posts: Candidates should have the appropriate ITI, Diploma and other technical qualifications for the specific post as required. The trade or discipline may vary from post to post.
Stenographer/Personal Assistant/Court Posts: The educational qualification, typing/shorthand criteria and other criteria may vary according to posts. For instance, UKSSSC issued separate notification and syllabus for the posts of Junior Assistant and Stenographer Grade-I Posts of Uttarakhand High Court in June 2026.
Age Limit
Age restrictions depend on the job and vary in the range of about 21 to 35 or 42 years. Age relaxation for the reserved category is allowed as per the guidelines set by the Uttarakhand government.
UKSSSC Group C Selection Process
1. Written Examination
The written test usually has an objective nature and can be held using an OMR system. The usual pattern of the paper would include 100 questions for 100 marks with a time limit of 2 hours, although the actual pattern should be clarified from the notice of the respective post.
There could also be negative marking with 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer.
